Molkoköngäs rapids
Rapids on the Ounasjoki beside road 79, about an hour north of Rovaniemi on the way to Levi. A short, wide path leads from the car park to the river, and there is almost no artificial light around.

Before you go
The riverbank is steep and unfenced and the rapids do not freeze reliably: stay on the bank. Park well off the main road.
